- Prime Minister Meles Reiterates Ethiopia's Position
ADDIS ABABA(ESP) - In an interview with Voice of America this week, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles
Zenawi reiterated Ethiopia's position regarding the Ethio-Eritrea conflict: Eritrea must
formally agree to withdraw from the Ethiopian territories it invaded and currently occupies
before a cease-fire can take place.

ADDIS ABABA(AP) - Ethiopia said today it was prepared to observe a cease-fire
in its 10-month border war with Eritrea without demanding prior withdrawal of
Eritrean troops, the Voice of America reported from the Ethiopian capital.

DJIBOUTI(AP) - The hand-picked successor to Djibouti's longtime leader won a
landslide victory in presidential elections, state-run radio said today.

- Ethiopian Airlines And Ghana Airways Sign Accord
ADDIS ABABA(PANA) - Ethiopian Airlines has signed a cooperation
agreement with Ghana Airways for the development and better harmonization of the
Africa/North America route, it was disclosed in Addis Ababa Wednesday.
- Eritrea Lost 45,000 In Border Battles
ADDIS ABABA(PR) - Ethiopia said Sunday that it had
killed, wounded or captured more than 45,000 Eritrean troops and
destroyed 77 tanks in border battles since February 23.

ADDIS ABABA(ESP) - Eritrean forces on Monday launched attacks against Ethiopian
positions on the western and central fronts in the Horn of Africa border war,
